The DFW Writers’ 2014 Conference is just around the corner,
May 3rd and 4th, and this years’ line-up of speakers,
agents, and editors is full of promise for writers of all genres and skill
levels. Last year was the first time I attended this conference and I highly
recommend it to all word-smiths.
The two-day conference features a keynote by Jonathan
Mayberry, over seventy break-out sessions on the craft of writing, panel
discussions, and query letter/first pages critique sessions. The event culminates
in the ever-popular query letter gong show.
Registration includes lunch (food is always a plus) and one
free 10-minute pitch or consultation session with an agent or editor. Select
from thirteen agents and three editors to best meet your creative writing
needs.
And as if that isn’t enough, check out the preconference
Friday workshops.
* Les Edgerton: “A Fiction Writer’s Workshop at the Bijou”
* Donald Maass: Writing 21st Century Fiction
